My Vision
I could no longer deny the feminine urge to open a cozy apothecary style coffee shop that sells flowers, antiques, pottery and books! My vision for Moonlight & Mortar is to bring the whimsy and community of that dream to an online platform, and then one day to a storefront!
Previously operating as The Antique Apothecary on Etsy, I've decided to fully invest in this dream of mine and revamp with a new name, a new website and new offerings!
I hope that browsing through this website takes you to a place of wonder that is so often lost in this modern world. I hope you find yourself mixing potions, finding lost treasures, and rediscovering the magic within yourself.

How did it feel to read through your child’s guide?
"It felt like someone was gently holding up a mirror to both Revan and myself — reflecting not just who he is, but the sacred threads that connect us. I felt seen as a parent, and in many ways, I felt like he was being seen too — in a way that goes beyond behavior or personality. It was grounding, tender, and at moments… honestly, a little emotional."
Do you feel this guide gave you deeper insight into your child’s needs, potential, or emotional world?
"Absolutely. It helped me move from reacting to certain behaviors to understanding what might be going on underneath. It reframed things like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or sensitivity to correction as meaningful indicators, not flaws. And it gave me hope for how to support him in becoming not just “well-behaved,” but truly whole and resilient."
Were there any moments that felt especially validating, emotional, or surprising?
"Yes. The line about him collapsing into tears or withdrawal after a day of dreamy play brought tears to my eyes. I’ve seen this happen and wondered if I was missing something or doing something wrong — but reading that it’s not unpredictability, but “energetic saturation,” felt like a balm. It helped me trust his process more.
Also, the mirroring between his Chiron in Aries and my own Chiron in Taurus… that gave me chills. I hadn’t considered how my own discomfort with chaos or unpredictability might influence how I respond to his boldness or emotion. My husband read over it and was interested in having his birth chart done as well."
Would you recommend this experience to another parent or caregiver?
Yes, without hesitation. Especially for parents who want to understand their child on a soul level — not just through milestones or discipline strategies. It’s a completely different lens, and one that feels more aligned with how I want to parent.
